18th Kathmandu Marathon Set for October 10, 2026

The 18th Kathmandu Marathon is set to take place on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at Dasarath Rangashala, Tripureshwor, Kathmandu. The annual running event will bring together runners from across Nepal and abroad, promoting sports, fitness and a healthy lifestyle.

According to the event organizers, participants will compete in different race categories, including the 42.195 km Marathon, 21.097 km Half Marathon, 10 km, 5 km, 3 km and Family Run categories.

The marathon and half-marathon participants are scheduled to report at 5:00 AM, with the races beginning at 5:30 AM. The event is expected to attract a large number of participants and spectators, making it one of Kathmandu's major annual sporting events.

The 18th Kathmandu Marathon 2026 aims to encourage running culture, healthy living and greater participation in sports while showcasing Kathmandu as a destination for sporting events.
